Charlie is everybody's best friend. He is kind considerate and aware of the feelings of others. Charlie is also very smart and extremely articulate for his age. Charlie lives in a family with a beautiful mom and wonderful dad and four brothers. Charlie has two older brothers and two younger brothers and a big white dog named Bear. Everybody loves Charlie because he is kind to others. Charlie loves to play sports like baseball and basketball. Charlie is just a really great kid.

The story is about two plastic tubs called Tub 1 & Tub 2. The tubs are used to store clothes. 2. The tubs don't know how special they are, they think they are just used to store people's stuff. 3. One day they discovered they were more than that when a person called Phil arrived at their house on the beach. 4. Phil was visiting the tropical island for two months. 5. All of his possessions fitted into the two tubs. 6. When Phil was packing his clothes into the tubs, he was thinking how much stuff he had left behind at home. He was also thinking of little he needed on his visit to the tropical island. 7. Each day as Phil took out something to wear he reflected on what it felt like to live with so little. 8. It felt good. Phil felt free! Life was simple and uncluttered. 9. Little did the tubs know that they had become a symbol of a new way of living for Phil. 10. They had taught Phil a very important lesson, to not collect to much stuff but to live simply.

1 Vsako leto za velikonočne praznike sta Marija in Jožef skupaj z mnogimi drugimi ljudmi potovala v Jeruzalem, da bi v templju častila Boga. V Svetem pismu beremo, kaj se je zgodilo na enem od teh potovanj. 2 Ko je bil Jezus star dvanajst let, je prvič smel iti tudi on zraven. Skupaj s starši, Jožefom in Marijo, ter sosedi so se odpravili v Jeruzalem. Do tja so hodili tri dni. 3 Ko so prispeli v Jeruzalem, je bil Jezus prevzet od veselja, da je končno v hiši svojega Očeta. 4 Ko je bil čas za odhod domov, je Jezus ostal v templju, ne da bi njegovi starši to opazili. Marija in Jožef sta mislila, da je Jezus pri popotni druščini skupaj s svojimi prijatelji. 5 Jezus pa se je medtem v templju pogovarjal z učitelji postave. Učitelji so mu postavljali vprašanja in se čudili njegovi modrosti. Bili so presenečeni, kako ta deček pozna in razume vse, kar je zapisano v Svetem pismu! 6 Ko sta bila Jožef in Marija že ves dan na poti domov, sta proti večeru začela iskati Jezusa. Spraševala sta pri vseh sorodnikih in znancih, a nihče ni vedel, kje je Jezus. Medtem, ko so se druge družine odpravljale k počitku, sta se Jožef in Marija v velikih skrbeh podala nazaj proti Jeruzalemu. 7 Vso dolgo noč sta hodila in naslednje jutro, utrujena in neprespana, iskala Jezusa po mestu. Končno sta ga našla v templju in njegova mama mu je rekla: »OTROK, ZAKAJ SI NAMA TO STORIL? V VELIKIH SKRBEH SVA TE ISKALA?« 8 »KAKO DA STA ME ISKALA? MAR NISTA VEDELA, DA MORAM BITI V HIŠI SVOJEGA OČETA?« je odgovoril Jezus. 9 Potem se je Jezus vrnil z njima nazaj domov v Nazaret, saj je vedno poslušal svoje starše in jih ubogal. 10 Njegova mama Marija je vse, kar se je zgodilo, ohranila in premišljevala v svojem srcu. Jezus pa je rastel in bil vedno bolj moder in priljubljen pri Bogu in pri ljudeh.

I love my tablet. I love playing games and watching videos. I love it so much I take it everywhere and use it all the time. My mummy does not like my tablet. She thinks I use it too much. She only thinks that because she never had a tablet when she was young. Today, I went to use my tablet and the power turned off. I couldn’t play any games. I couldn’t watch any videos, and my tablet was dying. What in the world am I to do? I’ll die of boredom for sure. Five minutes without my tablet and I was pacing the floor. I just don’t know what to do. Mummy walks by, and simply says “Go outside.” Go OUTSIDE? Is she out of her mind? I’ll get itchy, and dirty. And it’s SO HOT! No way. I can’t do that. Mummy starts to go on and on about how she would play when she was young but that doesn’t change my mind at all. Besides, she has so much to say about how she used to play but I don’t see her going outside. “Come,” She said. “Let me show you what it was like in the good ole’ days.” Mummy took me outside and my skin started to melt off my bones. The grass was already pricking my skin, and a rock rolled right into my Crocs. Mummy didn’t mind any of my cries, and started to show us all the joys of her old life. That day, we climbed the mango tree until my sister Jana scraped her knee. We played hopscotch on the concrete using rocks to draw on the street. Daddy taught us how to shoot marbles in the dirt. Johnny lost and was very hurt. We made mud-pies and fed them to all the guys. We spinned and sang to the beat of our own drum, There’s a brown girl in the ring. Sha-la-la-la-la.
