Nothing could have prepared her for the amount of excitement she experienced along the way! Lotus helped brooklyn find the true meaning of christmas by inviting her to experience it firsthand as her plus one.

Once there was a happy zoo owner named Mr. Wiggly, and his zoo was the best in the world. One day, a silly zoo owner named Mr. Bumble bought a very special animal from him: a giant Pink Gorilla! “This gorilla is amazing,” said Mr. Bumble. “But why are you selling it?” “Well,” said Mr. Wiggly with a twinkle in his eye, “because I have ONE important rule: Never, EVER touch the Pink Gorilla on his right shoulder.” Mr. Bumble promised not to touch it. But as soon as the Pink Gorilla arrived at his zoo, Mr. Bumble couldn’t stop wondering. “Why not?” he thought. “Will it tickle? Will it make him dance? Will something crazy happen?” Finally, he couldn’t wait any longer. One quiet day, Mr. Bumble tiptoed into the gorilla’s enclosure. The Pink Gorilla stared at him with big, curious eyes. Slowly, Mr. Bumble reached out his hand and… tapped the Pink Gorilla on his right shoulder. Suddenly, the gorilla stood up, roared, and started chasing him! “AHHHH!” Mr. Bumble screamed. He ran through the monkey house, over the giraffe field, and around the elephant pool. The Pink Gorilla stayed right behind him the whole time! Mr. Bumble jumped on a scooter, but the Pink Gorilla grabbed a skateboard and zoomed after him. He swam across a pond, but the Pink Gorilla grabbed a floaty and paddled right behind. Finally, Mr. Bumble stopped, out of breath. The Pink Gorilla leaned in close and said… “TAG! YOU’RE IT!” Then the Pink Gorilla laughed and sprinted back to his pen. From that day on, Mr. Bumble followed the rule: Never touch a Pink Gorilla’s right shoulder. You just might get a surprise!

Harvey is a bright young man who has an adorable dog named Sparky. Harvey is a 16 year old boy who has been working as a newspaper delivery boy for 3 months of summer. His boss, Mr. Smith wants to employ Harvey for the rest of the year and tells him about 401k. At first Harvey is skeptical and unhappy that more money will be deducted from his check. Mr. Smith tells him that if you put a portion of your money towards a Roth IRA account his money will grow on accrued interest. Harvey was confused at first and so was sparky. Mr. Smith found a beautiful and easy story that he used as an analogy to explain to Harvey what a Roth IRA account is and how does money grow. His retirement account will be worth a lot of money and Harvey decides to listen to his boss. He decided to put 20 dollars every week. After 4 months he had about 355 dollars, which is 35 dollars more than he contributed. He was so happy that his money grew and was happy with his investment. Sparky was also happy.

Trika wants to go to the moon with her cat, Cat. While packing, they hear a noise. Cat asks, Do you hear that? Trika says, Yes! Let’s follow it. They find a creature with its wing stuck under a boulder and help. Grateful, the creature suggests visiting the wise tree in the Forest of Magic. They find the wise tree crying. Hello Wise Tree! Why are you crying? they ask. The Wise Tree replies, I feel left out because I’m a willow among spruces. Trika comforts the tree, Don’t be ashamed! Talk to the spruces—they’ll be your friends. The Wise Tree befriends the spruces. Grateful, it asks how to return the favor. Trika asks, Can you tell us how to get to the moon? The Wise Tree says, Soak this rope in the magical river on the mountain. Trika and Cat thank the tree and head to the mountain. At the river, the fairies say the water isn’t magical because a fairy is lost. Trika finds the lost fairy, soaks the rope in the river, and lassos the moon. She climbs to the moon with Cat.
