Harvey is a 16 year old boy who is working as a newspaper delivery boy for the newspaper company. He gets paid every Thursday. This is his first job and he gets paid by check. Mr. Smith is his boss. Thursday Harvey gets his first paycheck and gets very sad. He was supposed to make 100 dollars but the check is only 70 dollars. Mr. Smith sees that Harvey gets sad and explains to him what deductions are. He starts with federal taxes which is about 8 dollars from Harvey's paycheck. The government collects taxes from all citizens to built bridges and highways and fund the army. He then explains what the social security deduction is for and also, medicare, state and city taxes. At the end Harvey is glad that the government is thinking to save money for him so he gets it when he retires. Sparky is Harvey's dog. He is sad when Harvey is sad and then gets happy at the end when Harvey understands how taxes work.

And when I make mistakes, I know He forgives me because He cares." Lily thought about it and asked, "Can I know Jesus too?" "Of course!" Noah said, excited. "You can talk to Him whenever you want, just by praying. You can read stories about Him in the Bible. He’s like a best friend who’s always there." From that day on, Noah and Lily would sit under the oak tree, talking about Jesus and sharing stories of His love. Slowly, more of their friends joined, eager to learn about this incredible friend Noah had introduced them to. They learned to be kind, to forgive, and to love each other, just as Jesus had shown.

Mr. Smith tells him that if you put a portion of your money towards a Roth IRA account his money will grow on accrued interest. Harvey was confused at first and so was sparky. Mr. Smith found a beautiful and easy story that he used as an analogy to explain to Harvey what a Roth IRA account is and how does money grow. His retirement account will be worth a lot of money and Harvey decides to listen to his boss. He decided to put 20 dollars every week. After 4 months he had about 355 dollars, which is 35 dollars more than he contributed. He was so happy that his money grew and was happy with his investment. Sparky was also happy.

She sent the elf shoes to Mars in a rocket ship but they didn’t come back. She left the elf shoes in the alley hoping a shoeless person would take the elf shoes but nobody took the elf shoes. After a few days she tried the elf shoes on again and this time, to Cheryl's surprise, they were perfect. She couldn't understand why the elf shoes started to feel better after a few days had passed but from that day forward she wore her elf shoes everywhere.
