1. John Jr and Jade was learning about Jesus' teachings about honesty. Jesus wants us to be honest in our speech and keep our promises. In 1 John 3:18 Jesus says "Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." Jade told John Jr that they need to be truthful in their words and actions even when it is hard. They decided they would Be more honest. 2. John Jr and Jade thought of times they were not honest. John Jr told about a time he lied to his mom about getting in cookie jar before dinner. John Jr ate 3 cookies before. His mom knew he wasn't truthful since he had no appetite for his dinner. 3. Jade told about about a time he blamed someone else for something he had done. Jade picked his neighbors flowers and blamed it on his friend Vixen to his neighbor. 4. John Jr told Jade about the two commandments that says not to steal or not to lie. John Jr decided they would practice being more trustworthy by being straightforward, and not lying, cheating, or stealing. Jade share Bible verse Proverbs 12:22 "The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy." Jesus taught people that the truth will set them free from slavery to sin, self-rule, and self-justification. John Jr and Jade decided that it was very important to be truthful with God. Jesus felt honesty was a gift and loved to be around plainspoken and honest people. John Jr and Jade want to follow Jesus because he is the truth and speaks of the truth and love.

On a sunny morning, Alex woke up excitedly. And shouted, "Today is I Can Do It Day! Excited," and jumped out of bed. At breakfast, Alex helped his mom set the table. His mom ruffled his hair and said, "You sure did, Alex! You're such a helper.", At preschool, the classroom buzzed with energy. Ms. Maya, their teacher, unfurled a giant banner that said "I Can Do It Day!" in bright colors. "Today," she announced, "we're going to learn all sorts of things we can do by ourselves!" As the day ended, Alex's heart was full. He had built a tall tower, painted a colorful picture, and even carried his own bowl! He learned that with a little effort and a lot of "I can do it" spirit, he could accomplish amazing things. On the way home, Alex held his mom's hand tightly. "Mommy," he said with a big grin, "I can do it!" His mom hugged him close. "Yes, Alex," she said, "you sure can!"

Ella is a very curious little cat. She lets her imagination get the best of her and she gets scared when she hears strange noises or smells strange smells. One day she is lying in the window and hears a large growl. She thinks it has to be a monster and confides in her animal friends that she is scared. She starts with Thumper the house rabbit who is eating a crunchy carrot and doesn't hear anything. She then talks to Tink the Maine Coon Cat who was too busy chasing her tail to hear anything. She then asks Azreal the wise old Tuxedo cat who can't be bothered with such ridiculous ideas. She then comes across Elmer the mini goldendoodle who was too busy playing with his ball and really just doesn't care. She talks to Minnie the pomeranian who is only worried about when she gets her next meal. Finally she walks into Allie's room where Allie is playing with her breyer horses. Allie sees that Ella is scared and knows she heard the sound of her mother running the garbage disposal so she takes Ella in her arms to show her it was nothing at all and she shouldnt' let her imagination run wild and make her scared.

Even though it’s hard, she finds comfort in knowing they are still one big, loving family. Sadie was a bright and creative girl who loved animals, art, and softball. “In the kitchen bright and sunny, Mom and Dad had made breakfast, oh so yummy. Dad read the paper, pancakes piled high, while Mom baked muffins, warm and sky. They called for young Sere, in a morning flurry, "Come down and eat, don't be in a hurry!" Sere slid down the banister, like a whirlwind of fun, to the table with food, a battle just begun. There was fruit, pancakes, and waffles galore, oatmeal, juice, milk, and much, much more. On his plate, he piled up the fruit so sweet, and a bowl of marshmallow cereal, a sugary treat. But Sere, oh dear, started to play, with his food, not eating it right away. In his hands, a muffin and melon so cool, in his imagination, he was nobody's fool. "So we meet again, Dr. Cavity," he declared, as into his daydream, he boldly dared. As Super Sere, with a cape so grand, he'd save kids from unhealthy food in the land. Mangoes gave him X-ray vision so keen, to see through the sugar that Dr. Cavity would scheme. Oranges, strawberries, and kiwi so bright, brought vitamin C to heal, with all their might. Berries, for speed to defeat Dr. Cavity's fuss, against sugar-filled cereals, and foods so unjust. But back in the real world, he heard a call, "The bus is here!" – it was time to enthrall. He grabbed an orange, berries in a dash, and off to the bus, he'd quickly flash. Energized and eager, for the day ahead, his lunch bag adventures, no one could dread. For Sere was a hero, fighting the good fight, making healthy choices, morning and night. The end of this tale, with lessons quite clear, choose healthy foods, have no fear. Be a superhero, just like Sere, and your body and mind will always be in the clear”
