Maya loved to read books and play with her friends, but sometimes, she felt unsure about herself. This is the story of how Maya discovered the magic of loving herself.

Red Dragon was a friendly, happy dragon who lived at the library. Red Dragon enjoyed being with the children who visited the library, but Red Dragon missed Orange Dragon, who was also a friendly, happy dragon. The Friends of the Library (two older women, silver haired, 70's, glasses, kind, happy faces) visited Red Dragon and said they will try to find Orange Dragon. The Friends of the Library did some research at the library and found out where Orange Dragon lived. The Friends of the Library sent a letter to Orange Dragon asking the dragon to come visit Red Dragon. After a while the Friends of the Library received a letter saying that Orange Dragon was on the way to the library, but that it will take some time to get there as the dragon was far, far, away. The Friends of the Library and Red Dragon were very happy! They decided that it might be time to give real names to the two dragons, and they asked the children of the library to help.

High up in the sky lived Twinkle, the smallest but brightest star. Every night, she shone down on the earth, watching over the sleeping children. One night, Twinkle saw a sad little girl named Lily sitting by her window, wishing to the moon for a friend because she felt lonely. Wanting to help, Twinkle wished to the moon to become Lily's friend. The kind moon granted Twinkle one special night on earth. Twinkle grew bigger and floated down to Lily's garden. Lily was amazed to see Twinkle and was overjoyed when Twinkle introduced herself and offered to be her friend. They spent the night talking, playing, and laughing under the starry sky. Twinkle showed Lily how to find shapes in the stars, told her stories, and they danced in the moonlight. As dawn approached, Twinkle had to return to the sky but promised Lily they would always be friends. Every night, Lily looked up at the stars and smiled, knowing Twinkle was watching over her. He gives him a pair of eyeglasses. the boy returns home wearing his new eyeglasses but takes a long time as he is distracted by all of the new things that he sees, flowers, insects, birds, clouds. Once home he sees his mother clearly for the first time and tells her that he has the prettiest mother in the world which makes her cry for joy. He now can play with his friends. then he tells other villagers of his good fortune with the doctor and many of them also visit the lion and areturn wearing glasses. there is joy and fun in the village.

This story is about an 8 year old boy called Kwan who has behaviour issues and school and often gets into trouble for hitting other students. If he is accidentally pushed, he will push or hit back. If something happens that he doesn't like, he will react the same. Despite teachers trying to help him to understand that this is not appropriate behaviour, Kwan finally understands that he he wants to be accepted and have positive relationships with the other students he must keep his hands off others, and treat them with kindness and respect.
