Finally, all the animals raced toward the finish line together. To everyone’s surprise, the fish, who had steadily swum along the whole race, crossed first! The snake, though he didn’t win, felt happy for the fish and thanked the squirrel and rabbit. Snake: “I was wrong to be so proud. Kindness and teamwork matter more than winning.” From that day on, the snake became a better friend, and the animals of the forest learned that working together brings the greatest rewards.

During major festivals, we ring the heavy bronze bell in front of the familiar Tin Hau Temple, hoping for the Goddess of Heaven's blessings. The historic sound of the bell seems to tell the stories of this land. Perhaps it is these historical buildings that nurture the cultural foundation of us, the children of Lung Yeuk Tau. We have personally experienced the unique humanistic atmosphere here since childhood; it has deeply imprinted itself in our hearts, becoming an indispensable part of us.
